Follow these instructions:</p><div class=\"orderedlist\"><ol class=\"orderedlist\" type=\"1\"><li class=\"listitem\"><p>Select <span class=\"command\"><strong>Control Panel → Network \n  Connections</strong></span>.</p></li><li class=\"listitem\"><p>In <span class=\"command\"><strong>Local Area Connection</strong></span>, right-click \n  and select <span class=\"command\"><strong>Properties</strong></span>.</p></li><li class=\"listitem\"><p>In the <span class=\"command\"><strong>Local Area Connection Properties</strong></span> \n  dialog box, <span class=\"command\"><strong>General</strong></span> tab, select <span class=\"command\"><strong>Internet \n  Protocol (TCP/IP)</strong></span> and click the <span class=\"command\"><strong>Properties</strong></span> \n  button.</p></li><li class=\"listitem\"><p>In the <span class=\"command\"><strong>Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) \n  Properties</strong></span> dialog box, in the <span class=\"command\"><strong>General</strong></span> tab, \n  click the <span class=\"command\"><strong>Advanced</strong></span> button. </p></li><li class=\"listitem\"><p>In the <span class=\"command\"><strong>Advanced TCP/IP Settings</strong></span> dialog \n  box, in the <span class=\"command\"><strong>WINS</strong></span> tab, clear the <span class=\"command\"><strong>Enable LMHOSTS \n  lookup</strong></span> check box.</p></li><li class=\"listitem\"><p>Restart the client-side computer.</p></li></ol></div></dd><dt><span class=\"term\"><span class=\"command\"><strong>Password Window Loses Focus</strong></span>\n<a class=\"indexterm\" name=\"idp5630\"></a>\n<a class=\"indexterm\" name=\"idp5633\"></a>\n</span></dt><dd><p>In some cases on Windows clients, the window for the password or \nthe public-key passphrase can lose focus. This means that the password \nwindow is shown active on the screen, but when you start typing your \npassword, the asterisks do not appear in the box. If the actual focus \nhappens to be in an other window, your password or passphase may appear \nthere.</p><p>The password window loses focus most often when you have the Tectia \nConnection Broker status window open. So the first workaround is to make \nsure the status window is not open while you start logging in.</p><p>A permanent solution to the problem is to modify the Windows settings \nthat control the behaviour of the applications. By default, Windows has on a \nsetting that prevents applications from stealing the focus. As a workaround, \nyou can allow applications to steal the focus. Note that the setting affects \nall Windows applications, not just the Tectia Connection Broker.</p><p>To be able to change the setting, you need to download the Microsoft Tweak UI \nutility program.
